Web History

Hrmmph, where to start...Oh! Once upon a million years ago, I started this zoomshare site. I started looking around the web and I saw some really good sites that looked more professional than mine. Thanks to Google, I found out that those sites were probably learning HTML. So, my dad got me Web Design for Teens by Maneesh Sethi which helped me a lot. So my websites were getting better and more organized. It was now that I got a website from Moonfruit for my band, Electric Wave which broke up within the first three or four weeks. Unfortunately Moonfruit doesn't enable HTML editing, so I started looking for a new host. I found Freewebs really quickly (thanks to Google again). My site still didn't have the graphics that it has now because I didn't know anything about web designing. I was even ignorant enough to look for freewebs layouts (on Google) that looked like the ones that other people had. The web-designing came in when I started using AIM frequently and started looking here for Buddy Icons. I learned how to make really good icons and got all of the programs that I needed. My website was still a blog/personal site at the time. Finally, I found a layout site for freewebs. The code was really long and I had to paste it into every page, but it looked good so I didn't want to change more than once every two or three months. I was getting better and better at the icons (I never got IOTD or AOTD...) and I really wanted to learn how to make website layouts so that I could make my own. This was when I stumbled across Vibeke's site. It told me everything. How to make layouts, how to make good graphics, how to use freewebs to my advantage, all that jazz. I wanted to use PHP but I just couldn't find it on freewebs. So, once again, I found a different host. So I had the domain anthophilous.metrohosting.info. It worked out fine, but I wanted to try FTP. And, being the little ignorant girl I was, I got hosting from someone else. Russell hosted me until the server started going crazy and stopped letting me update my website. So I packed up my stuff and moved back to Metrohosting. I bought the domain vintage-rain.com. Yet, I wanted to host others, so I changed to F.erocio.us. I love Nadiyya and she is the nicest host out there. Then all of a sudden, my friend Meli was interested in web graphics, so I asked her if she wanted to be co-owner, and she accepted! So here we are. Need anymore?
